Overview

This section presents information on the map interface, the various components of the map interface, and how you can use it in your work.

As the name suggests, the map interface - by default - displays a 3D globe with ArcGIS as the Basemap. The map interface is a tool that can be used to create and work with spatial data on your desktop in both 2D and 3D environments.
